Breaking new ground

It’s been a hectic run to the end of the tax year. But we got there having raised £17m of new EIS funding putting us as one of the best supported EIS funds in the market.

We’ve made a series of exciting new investments including Verv, Firglas, Weedingtech and LAT Water who have all joined the Earthworm community, and who all have a huge part to play in driving us all towards a more sustainable future. You will hear a lot more about these companies in the coming months in our newsletters and on our Twitter and LinkedIn channels.

Our pipeline is as strong as it’s ever been. There are some fantastic British businesses out there who are in need of support, whether financial or otherwise, and we plan on being right behind them. Regardless of what you might read in the press, the UK remains an excellent place to do business and we are really excited about the prospects for businesses seeking to embrace a more socially-conscious strategy.

I’m also really happy to say that we have just passed a very significant milestone for the business of having over £100m assets under management. We celebrated this by having a team strategy day and a night out. Writing this blog the day after the night before I must say I’m completely washed out but I’m not sure whether that is from the wine of last night or the nervous energy I spent mapping out our vision for the next five years to the team.

So, in short, I’d like to say a big thank you to our investors who have given us their trust and faith to date, and from those of you that are thinking about making an investment, then don’t hesitate to come and speak to us!
